Have you ever read something that hit home so hard, that you just couldn’t stop thinking about it? On page 7 of Lysa TerKeurst’s Embraced daily devotion, she shares, “I started getting into God’s Word so it could get into me.” Well, geesh that seems easy, but how do you carve out time to really “get into?”

Hey friend! This post contains affiliate links for some of my favorite resources to be balanced.

Simple answer.

Make it manageable! You may not be able to study and immerse yourself into 365 scriptures, but can you do one key each week? And to take it one step further, can you answer three simple questions per message?
I believe that you can! In early January, I posted in Instagram stories that I was looking for weekly scriptures to study this year.

Now that I have the scriptures (see below), here’s my study plan (and always with permission to pivot) with three questions that you can ask yourself.

  • I wrote each of the scriptures below in the Tuesday “Be Inspired’ section of my planner.
  • I read the scripture on Tuesday mornings and write out what I believe God is saying to me through the message
  • Each day, I build on that by writing down what the passage teaches me about myself and what ways I can apply this passage in my life.
  • Daily until the following Tuesday,  I re-read the scripture and re-read my responses + add in additional thoughts.

Will you join me in taking the steps to build a healthy habit in not just reading but also applying scripture to your life? I truly believe that we make time for what we want and we choose our priorities. So in finding your balance, let’s make room for the Word.
