The sold out Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors exhibit at the High Museum of Atlanta is 100% worth the hype, if you enjoy magical moments and also want to capture a cool picture for the ‘gram. I did a little research before we visited the exhibit last month, but I wish that I would have known even more to ensure that we enjoyed our night at the museum. Sharing is caring, so below are five tips to enhance your visit.

Try to grab the late evening tickets, we were in the 7p group so no other group came in after us and for the last hour before the museum closed we had the place to ourselves! Bonus information: we were able to view all of the rooms 2x (once for the ‘gram and once without our phones).

There’s a singles line, so if you are willing to break away from your friend(s) then you can skip the long lines and be the third wheel with another couple.

Don’t just focus on the rooms, there’s a TON of information about the life of Yayoi Kusama, take it ALL in! We were fascinated by the life that she’s lived and what’s inspired her masterful pieces of art.

You will be advised to arrive 30 minutes before your ticket time. We didn’t exactly follow that rule and it was ok for us because we would have just been in line for 30 minutes, on the other hand don’t be LATE! The sweet spot is to arrive 15 minutes before your ticket time. Oh, and there’s a bar onsite just in case you get thirsty while in line.

Don’t go to the 1st room once you hop off the elevator. It’s logical so everyone starts there. When we visited the lines were shorter just around the corner in the other rooms, so we did those first and then went back to the 1st room (this trick works when you are in the last group of the evening).

High five to the High Museum of Atlanta for the well-organized experience, just in case my 5 tips aren’t enough, check out the official FAQ page before you go.
